Position Overview:

The Value-Based Platform (VBP) Product team plays a key role in shaping and delivering solutions that advance value-based care across Risant Health Organizations (RHOs). The portfolio of solutions drives outcomes such as reduced total cost of care, improved clinical quality, better user experiences, greater health equity, and operational simplicity — all contributing to business and financial objectives.


The Business Analyst supports a product team by gathering and analyzing requirements, documenting processes, and validating product delivery. This role helps drive informed product decisions through user feedback, performance metrics, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Reporting to the Value-Based Platform Product Discipline Lead, the Business Analyst also supports sprint planning, deployment, and ongoing product maintenance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
  • Sprint Planning & Execution Support: Assist the Product Owner in preparing for sprint planning, ensuring user stories are clear, prioritized, and aligned with team velocity and business goals.
  • Product Dashboard Creation & Reporting: Support the Product Owner in developing technical specifications for dashboards and completing monthly reporting on product performance.
  • Backlog & Ticket Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog using tools like Jira; manage ticket flow and track sprint commitments and progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product managers, designers, engineers, QA, and researchers to ensure shared understanding of requirements and smooth product delivery.
  • Product Testing & Validation: Support test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution to ensure product quality and alignment with requirements.
  • User Feedback & Insights: Synthesize user feedback and performance data to identify trends, inform product decisions, and support continuous improvement.
  • UX & Design Alignment: Collaborate with designers to ensure user-friendly experiences that meet the needs of clinicians, patients, and other users.
  • Deployment & Sustainment Support: Coordinate deployment activities, participate in defect calls, and support post-launch maintenance and enhancements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, communicating requirements, risks, and updates clearly.
  • Market & Performance Analysis: Conduct market research and analyze product performance metrics to support strategic planning and product evolution.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years in product analysis, business analysis, or functional product roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR, X12) with strong technical proficiency in data integration and claims processing.
  • In-depth understanding of clinical performance metrics and KPIs utilized in healthcare, with familiarity across major EHR systems.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare programs, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare financial models, including risk adjustment and value-based care frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of the solution delivery life cycle.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.
  • Experience within a product team in the healthcare or technology sectors (e.g., consulting, project management, forecasting).
  • Experience in requirements gathering and user story creation within a product-led organization.
  • Experience in one or more domains (e.g., clinical operations, data analysis, Medicare/Medicaid, IT).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Jira Align, Confluence).
  • Familiarity with 1 or more domains (e.g., clinical operations, data analysis, Line of Business such as Medicare or Medicaid, IT).


Additional Information:

Compensation and Benefits: The projected base salary for this position ranges from $145,200–$169,400 depending on experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for comprehensive benefits package, including wellness programs, retirement savings, and relocation support as applicable.
