Move Hardware and Equipment into the server rooms, into the new locations to facilitate hot-aisle/cold-aisle orientation.
Rack and un rack servers, network, storage devices.
Install the network cabling (Copper/Fiber), terminates and connect as per requirement.
Staging the new servers (Windows and Unix/Linux servers) and preparing for datacenter installation.
Configure the server ILO/IDRAC, RSA port, and basic configurations of storage and network devices (in case require).
Configure Network card on servers in case network configuration lost.
Replace or Upgrade the hardware Like, Memory, CPU, Power supply and finding the compatible hardware form spare available on site.
Install the new racks into the data center and removes the unused racks from DC, when needed.
Install the power PDU’s and server power connections.
Install the wiring for new or existing servers, network, and storage devices.
Hard reboot shut down/restore power to the Hardware install in data center.
Configuration of Blade chassis and server, as required.
Upgrade the firmware of servers, blade chassis as per OEM recommendation or best practice.
Escort vendors, engineers, and visitors to the data center.
Receive and manage the data center hardware (servers/network and storage) deliveries and update the asset register.
Perform the physical audit as and when needed or ask for data center IT assets and ensure to get these
updated in relevant assets registers, i.e. server now, inventories.
Support media (tape) handling operations, including loading and unloading into systems and libraries,
inventory the tape transfer the tape to remote location and coordination support teams.
Unwrap/unbox Hardware and dispose of waste material.
Notify to the Facility and Support/ platform team if data center equipment (IT, Facility) are in an alarm state.
Able to work in different shifts to support the 24x7x365 DC operation including On-call and weekends.
Driver License ‘B’ is MUST for Manual gear Cars, a resource needs to drive in between the Data Centers.
