Software Engineer

Robert Half's client is looking for an IT Software Engineer for a 100% remote, 6-month contract with a high likelihood of extending. This role will need someone that is proficient at writing code to interact with APIs, automating all of the things, configuration management, and generally finding creative ways to solve problems with code.

Responsibilities

• Building new software applications and system integrations to automate repetitive processes
• Collaborating with engineers and cross-functional teams to implement or improve new systems
• Addressing and remediating vulnerabilities to ensure our software applications are secure
• Utilizing CI/CD pipelines and tooling
• Leveraging Azure Cloud Services
• Debugging and testing code

Minimum Qualifications

• Experienced in at least one of the following languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, Go
• Working knowledge of APIs, micro-services, data storage, unit testing, object-oriented programming
• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Clear and effective communication skills and empathy

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong analytical and creative abilities
• Experience or working knowledge with Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL
• Experience in Python and NodeJS
