On behalf of the European Space Agency, we will be soon looking for a highly skilled
AIT/AIV support to projects Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.
What Is Expected From You
- Support the activities of the section and Agency Projects, activities and studies in the area of AIT/AIV engineering as required throughout all project phases, but without assuming direct responsibility:
- Support the Satellite Engineering and AIV Manager (or equivalent management figure on project side) with respect to Assembly, Integration, Verification and Test tasks, including monitoring of activities at industrial premises.
- Contribute to environmental testing and launch campaigns as requested by the assigned Project.
- Provide inputs to internal and external meetings, supporting them as requested by the assigned Project.
- Review the project documentation as produced throughout the project lifetime in the area of AIT and AIV, providing inputs and comments.
- Support the Satellite Engineering and AIV Manager (or equivalent management figure on project side) in monitoring the evolution of the identified Project risks.
- Support iterations with project engineering disciplines for AIT and AIV related tasks.
- Active participation to Section-internal meetings, info exchanges and iterations under nomination of the Service Manager.
- Support feasibility assessments of future missions at Concurrent Design Facility (CDF) in the domain of AIT, AIV and Programmatics.
What You Offer
- Master's Degree in Physics or Engineering.
- Experience in participating to reviews
- Experience with procurement and technical monitoring of industrial activities
- Experience with Space Engineering Standards and their preparation and implementation
- Knowledge of Space Missions and Spacecraft Systems Design
- Understanding of space systems architectures
- Systems Engineering in the early project phases (trade-offs, budgets, identification of critical technology developments, etc)

Where
You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
