Why you will Love this role?
In this role, you will join ICEYE's Business Automation team and contribute to the development of our Core platform and APIs, the backbone of our customers' ability to operate and task our satellite fleet.
You'll work closely with other engineers to design, build, and maintain high-quality backend services that support both customer-facing and internal systems. You'll have the opportunity to learn from experienced engineers, collaborate across domains, and grow your technical and problem-solving skills in a fast-moving and high-reliability environment.
Our stack is primarily Go, running on Kubernetes in both cloud (AWS) and on-prem environments. We use PostgreSQL and Terraform for infrastructure as code. The team continuously evolves its architecture toward modern practices such as Event-Driven Architecture.

What will you do in this role?
- Contribute to the design, development, and support of backend capabilities and APIs, following best industry practices.
- Participate in planning, estimation, and delivery within an agile team environment (e.g., Kanban or Scrum).
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, and other engineering teams to understand business needs and deliver valuable solutions.
- Participate in maintaining our services in production, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, and actively take part in code reviews and continuous improvement.
- Follow and apply security and quality best practices.
Requirements
What will you need to be successful in this role?
- 4+ years of experience in similar roles.
- Solid experience in backend software development, preferably in Go or a similar language.
- Practical experience building and maintaining APIs used in production.
- Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of cloud environments (e.g., AWS) and infrastructure-as-code principles (e.g., Terraform).
- Some experience or interest in monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Passion for writing clean, tested, and reliable code.
