This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility.
Areas of responsibility
- Acting as a supporting leader for individual contributors (Software engineers) in one or more small teams
- Responsible for supporting the education and vision of the individuals in a team to align their direction and drive performance and outcomes
- Foster and advocate for Lean-Agile ways of working

Your future role will include
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing performance within the team
- Continuously improve delivery flow by advocating and implementing Lean-Agile practices
- Monitoring and analyzing team performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement
- Providing regular reporting and metrics to the Director of Development to enable effective decision-making
- Collaborating with the Director of Development, your peers and the Principal Engineer to align technical and product strategies.
- Overseeing the technical and architectural design processes
- Overseeing the technical strategy implementation
- Tracking the system performance according to Non-Functional requirements and ensuring adherence
- Leading internal functional and cross-functional projects to optimize the development process
You're going to need this to be successful in this role
- Highly self-motivated and results-oriented team player
- 7+ years of experience in backend software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership position (Team Lead or Engineering Manager)
- Experience in people management and leading remote, cross-functional teams
- Good Understanding of software development processes, including frontend and backend development, software testing, and CI/CD
- Designing and implementing software solutions
- Good understanding of the principles of building a reliable architecture
- Experience with software development tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced level of English
It's nice if you also have
- Experience with a range of development processes (Kanban, Scrum, etc.)
- DevOps mindset
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Development experience in different programming languages
