Join our team as an
HR Generalist in this exciting hybrid position that offers the flexibility of working from home, the office, and our corporate stores. A valid driving license is required as this role plays a pivotal part in supporting our corporate stores and dedicated associates. As an HR Generalist, you will be a key player in providing leadership, consultation, and expertise across various HR focus areas, including employee relations, performance management, talent development, training, and HR compliance.
This position requires travel between our NH Corporate Stores, located in Berlin, Wolfeboro, Laconia, Goffstown, and Allenstown, NH, as well as to our Corporate office in Pembroke, NH. We are looking for someone local to New Hampshire and are unable to provide relocation assistance at this time.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partner: Act as a strategic partner with business units, diagnosing challenges and developing effective strategies to resolve them. Recommend solutions aligned with business objectives.
Employee Relations: Foster positive relationships between employees and management. Resolve complex employee relations issues fairly and objectively using appropriate techniques.
Talent Management: Drive talent initiatives focusing on recruitment, retention, development, and training. Emphasize building future leaders and developing talent within the organization.
Compliance and Policies: Ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Stay updated on employment laws, HR trends, and best practices, recommending improvements to HR policies and processes.
Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to enhance recruiting processes. Engage effectively with all organizational levels, contributing as a strong team member.
Confidentiality: Maintain a high level of confidentiality in handling HR matters and employee information.
Documentation: Ensure performance management practices are consistent, conduct coaching sessions, and maintain accurate records.
Special Projects: Participate in and facilitate activities and projects as assigned. Represent the company positively in various settings.
HR Generalist Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or associate with 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of HR concepts, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Strong understanding of multiple HR disciplines, including talent management, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and compensation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in HRIS (UKG preferred), Applicant Tracking Systems, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Professional certification (SPHR/PHR or SHRM-SCP/CP) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing demands in a busy environment.
