Role Description

We are hiring a Founding Engineer / Head of Engineering to lead the next stage of CRWD’s product development. You will own the technical roadmap end-to-end, including architecture, integrations, payments, and fraud prevention systems. You will work directly with the founding team to scale the platform, automate manual workflows, and ensure CRWD is built for growth and compliance. This is a hands-on role that combines leadership and execution.

Qualifications

• Architect and scale CRWD’s platform, focusing on payments, verification systems, and APIs
• Design and implement secure and compliant payment flows (Stripe Connect, Trolley, etc.)
• Manage and mentor offshore developers and ensure code quality
• Collaborate with product and operations teams to define priorities and deliverables
• Own infrastructure decisions including hosting, database, and integrations
• Build automation tools to replace manual auditing and reduce fraud
• Define and shape engineering culture and development processes from the ground up

Requirements

• 4–8+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with startup or marketplace experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, React or React Native, and Firebase or Postgres
• Experience with payment systems, API integrations, and automation workflows
• Comfortable leading technical design and hands-on implementation
• Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoys building systems from scratch
• Interested in early-stage ownership, autonomy, and long-term impact

This position begins as a 1099 contract role with the opportunity to transition into a full-time W2 position as CRWD continues to scale.

This is a remote role but we prioritize applicants located in Southern California.
