Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to enhance and optimize our existing solutions at our offices in Doha, Qatar. This role involves ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests, working closely with our team of talented developers to implement scalable and efficient systems.

Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Take the lead on developing and maintaining the server-side logic for Appomatory using advanced skills in JavaScript, with a strong focus on frameworks such as React.js and Node.js.
• Database Management: Manage and optimize databases integral to application functionality, particularly with MongoDB and MySQL, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
• AWS Environment Management: Utilize Amazon AWS services extensively to manage and scale the application hosting environment, ensuring efficient operations and robust infrastructure.
• Automation and CI/CD Pipelines: Design and maintain automated deployment architectures using GitHub to streamline workflows and enhance production processes.
• Python Programming: Apply Python skills to support various backend functions, including data processing and integration tasks that complement the JavaScript development work.
• Security and Data Protection: Implement rigorous security measures and data protection protocols to safeguard application data and user privacy.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with front-end developers and other team members to integrate user-facing elements and collectively push towards seamless, agile development cycles.

Key Qualifications:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in frameworks such as React.js and Node.js.
• Extensive experience with database technology such as MongoDB and MySQL.
• Proficient in using Amazon AWS services to manage application hosting environments.
• Skilled in building automation and continuous integration/deployment pipelines, particularly with GitHub.
• Good understanding of Python and its use in backend development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think algorithmically.

Relocation and Visa Support:

• This is an onsite position requiring relocation to Doha, Qatar.
