Compliance Product Lead – Fintech | Regulatory & Product Strategy

Ria Money Transfer is seeking a talented and experienced Compliance Product Lead to bridge the gap between regulatory requirements and innovative product development. In this role, you’ll partner with Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Product teams to ensure our fintech solutions meet global standards while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
As a Compliance Product Lead, you will influence product strategy, embed compliance “by design,” and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory alignment.

Key Responsibilities
Product–Compliance Partnership
- Serve as the primary liaison between Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Product teams as the Compliance Product Lead.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into practical product features, processes, and controls.
- Ensure that new products and enhancements are designed with compliance “by design.”
Regulatory & Risk Oversight
- Monitor and interpret global regulations impacting money transfer, payments, and financial services (AML, CTF, KYC, consumer protection, data privacy).
- Support the implementation of risk-mitigation strategies within product roadmaps.
- Partner with internal audit and external regulators during reviews, audits, or product-related examinations.
Execution & Delivery
- Lead compliance input as the Compliance Product Lead for product launches, ensuring regulatory readiness prior to rollout.
- Develop and maintain compliance playbooks, checklists, and control testing procedures.
- Provide subject matter expertise to cross-functional teams to balance compliance obligations with customer experience.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Influence and educate business partners on compliance considerations throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and design teams to balance compliance with usability and scalability.
- Present updates and risk assessments to senior leadership.
- Represent the company as the Compliance Product Lead in meetings with prospective business partners and regulators.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Finance, or related field (Master’s or JD preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory advisory within fintech, payments, or money services.
- Strong knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions, KYC, licensing, and consumer financial protection frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven experience collaborating with Product or Technology teams to embed compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to simplify complex regulations for non-compliance stakeholders.
- Track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, global, and highly regulated environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with regulators (FinCEN, CFPB, state regulators, FCA, etc.).
- Compliance certifications such as CAMS, CRCM, or CIPP.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Bilingual or multilingual skills (Spanish, French, or others) a plus.

Ria Money Transfer offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The reasonable estimated pay for this role ranges from ($89,000USD to $129,000USD). Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
