Senior SRE Manager

Our client is building a new SRE team and seeking a hands-on technical leader to shape its foundation. This role starts with deep technical involvement and evolves into a leadership-focused position as the team grows.

Ideal Candidate:

A seasoned engineer with a strong software development background, proven experience in cloud-native reliability engineering, and the ability to balance hands-on problem-solving with strategic technical leadership as the team matures.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide hands-on technical leadership while helping build and mentor a team of 9 mid-to-senior SREs.
• Drive the design and automation of scalable, reliable systems using AWS and modern CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Apply software engineering expertise, particularly in Python and Java, to diagnose, automate, and resolve reliability issues across complex systems.
• Champion true SRE principles: building reliability through code, not configuration, and fostering a “see a problem, fix a problem” culture.
