Experience Level: 7+ years as a Senior Oracle DBA
We’re seeking an experienced Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to provide development and optimization support for enterprise applications running on Oracle Databases in AWS. This is a critical, hands-on role managing and optimizing Oracle databases in a cloud environment.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
Candidates must demonstrate strong expertise in the following areas:
- Designing database schemas, access patterns, locking strategies, and performance tuning in enterprise environments
- Modifying, creating, and updating database structures and objects per application requirements
- Configuring, monitoring, and managing Oracle database cache
- Implementing and supporting Oracle databases on AWS/Linux platforms
- Strong understanding of Exadata hardware/software components, including storage cells, InfiniBand networking, and Smart Scan technology
- Managing storage with Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM)
- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting languages
- Designing and implementing backup/restore and disaster recovery (DR) solutions
- Installing, upgrading, and patching Oracle database software
- State experience highly preferred
