On behalf of the European Space Agency, we will be soon looking for a highly skilled
Ground Software Systems Engineer to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.
What Is Expected From You
- Support projects in the preparation, evaluation, and reviewing of all aspects of EGSE, EGS-CC/MCS engineering, including spacecraft control procedures and ground system integration.
- Support projects in the frame of EGSE, EGS-CC/MCS software development, configuration, and maintenance.
- Monitor industrial activities concerning the development of EGSE, EGS-CC/MCS definition, deployment, and quality management.
- Participate in the development of engineering standards and best practices for EGSE, EGS-CC/MCS.
- Contribute to the activities of Collaborative Engineering and Requirements Management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EGSE equipment, EGS-CC/MCS with other ground system components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to EGSE, EGS-CC/MCS operations
- Assist within specific areas of interest for ground support systems, such as:
- Test benches and test facilities in support of Functional Verification.
- Central checkout systems, including the EGS-CC (Common Core).
- EGSE, SCOEs and TM/TC front-end interfaces.
What You Offer
- Master Degree in the relevant field
- Knowledge and experience with software engineering and semantic modelling.
- Knowledge and experience with spacecraft functional verification (Simulation Modelling, Real-Time Simulator development, testing and evaluation. Spacecraft database management systems (Data Modelling, Software Development, Model Driven Software Generation, Monitoring and Procedure Control Languages)
- Data Quality and Data Management.

Where
You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
