Job Description

We’re seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Designer to join our Portfolio 3 team at Talaluf. This is a unique opportunity to be the first dedicated Senior designer within this portfolio of event brands, taking on a central role in shaping their creative output and identity.

As the primary design partner, you’ll be both strategic and hands-on, delivering high-quality design work across a wide spectrum, from PowerPoint presentations and brand identity development to social content, marketing materials, digital assets, and event collateral. You’ll be the go-to person for design within the portfolio, with the scope to make a visible impact on how our brands look, feel, and communicate.

You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing and brand team, the portfolio Vice President, and external agencies, managing requests you can execute directly while also reviewing and guiding third-party creative partners. Over time, as the team grows, you’ll help set the creative standard for new designers joining the portfolio, making this role an exciting opportunity to establish yourself as the cornerstone of design within Portfolio 3.

This position is ideal for an ambitious designer who thrives on variety, enjoys responsibility, and wants to be at the forefront of building bold, distinctive event brands from the ground up.

Key accountabilities

Project management and execution

  • Manage your own workload effectively, balancing multiple projects and priorities at once.
  • Deliver creative projects end-to-end — from concept through to execution — while maintaining high visual standards and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Take ownership of your timekeeping and project management, knowing when to push back, when to prioritise, and how to manage competing deadlines.
  • Ensure all outputs are accurate, error-free, and delivered on time.

Stakeholder communication

  • Work closely and collaboratively with stakeholders across the business, ensuring creative work meets their needs while staying true to brand standards.
  • Proactively update Senior Leadership and the Creative Director on project progress, challenges, or foreseeable issues.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between internal teams and external partners or agencies.
  • Confidently handle feedback, knowing when to adapt and when to advocate for quality.

Creative strategy and innovation

  • Contribute to the creative strategy of Portfolio 3’s event brands, aligning design solutions with business objectives and market trends.
  • Reimagine and refresh existing brand guidelines, ensuring they stay relevant and compelling over time.
  • Create new brand identities for future IPs and ensure they are built into strong, consistent guidelines.
  • Translate strategic thinking into effective, visually distinctive design that works across print, digital, and event environments.

Hands-on design, quality control and brand consistency

  • Be the go-to designer for the portfolio — producing everything from pitch presentations and social content to event collateral and marketing materials.
  • Uphold the highest standards of craft, consistency, and attention to detail across all touchpoints.
  • Take a hands-on approach to design execution, ensuring all creative work is on-brand, accurate, and audience-focused.
  • Be accountable for your work: own deadlines, communicate clearly, and ensure smooth handover if unavailable.
  • Support the business in building new creative capabilities over time, setting the standard as future resources join.

Qualifications

  • Conceptual thinker with a high level of craft and consistency across all design outputs.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; able to handle feedback constructively and adapt quickly.
  • Prepared to manage the realities of the events industry — including occasional last-minute requests, weekend work, and extended hours when deadlines require it.
  • Strong understanding of brand identity creation and brand guideline development, with the ability to both refresh existing brands and build new ones from scratch.
  • A strong portfolio of impactful, consumer-facing work that demonstrates excellence in typography, layout, hierarchy, and technical execution across digital and print.
  • Agency, event, or brand-side experience where design played a central role in brand building is highly recommended.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and keen to push beyond comfort zones to grow and learn new skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with Premiere Pro and After Effects for video editing and motion graphics is a plus (not essential, but a willingness to learn is valued).
  • Knowledge of Figma is a bonus, especially if it’s their preferred way of working.
  • Awareness of social trends, industry best practices, and cultural relevance to help elevate creative ideas beyond the brief.
  • Excellent organisational skills: able to juggle multiple projects, manage timelines independently, and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident communicator: able to collaborate across teams, speak up when needed, and know when to push back to protect quality.
  • Strong team player, comfortable taking direction and feedback, while also showing initiative.
  • Minimum of six years of professional design experience in a creative role.
  • Arabic fluency (speaking and writing) is a non-negotiable requirement for this role.
