Your Role


As our XiL Toolchain Developer, you’ll drive the development and integration of Hardware-in-the-Loop and Model-in-the-Loop systems within the Data Science and Model Integration group of the DRiVE team (Datascience Rigs and Vehicle Engineering). You’ll design, develop, and maintain real-time model infrastructure and plant models for various vehicle domains — ensuring our simulation capabilities set new benchmarks in performance and accuracy.


What You’ll Do


  • Benchmark Bugatti Rimac’s XiL tool approach against best-in-class companies across and beyond the automotive industry
  • Manage and maintain MiL platforms and support cross-functional teams in toolchain integration
  • Conduct feasibility studies for HiL system upgrades or new system designs by translating validation and calibration needs into detailed technical requirements
  • Identify and manage suppliers, define timing plans, and oversee project budgets
  • Design new HiL tools, including wiring harnesses and load plates, configure systems, and deploy real-time models
  • Lead supplier collaboration throughout design and integration phases
  • Develop new XiL methodologies and support their implementation within the development process
  • Create standards, processes, and documentation to continuously improve simulation and validation capabilities


What You Bring


  • Advanced degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience within an automotive OEM or engineering service company
  • Hands-on experience with major HiL toolchains (e.g., dSPACE, SpeedGoat, Concurrent Real-Time)
  • Strong knowledge of Matlab/Simulink; Python experience a plus
  • Familiarity with automotive BUS standards (CAN, LIN)
  • Background in both experimental and simulation techniques applied to vehicle development
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical topics for management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Curiosity and a passion for high-performance automotive technology
