Power BI Developer is a data professional responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights through interactive dashboards and reports. This role is central to enabling data-driven decision-making across business units.
Core Responsibilities
- Data Modeling: Design and build data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX, and Power Query.
- Report & Dashboard Development: Create visually immersive and interactive dashboards tailored to business needs.
- Data Integration: Connect and validate data from diverse sources such as SQL Server, Snowflake, SharePoint, APIs, and Excel.
- Advanced Analytics: Implement AI-driven analytics, natural language queries, and automated data refresh pipelines.
- Security & Governance: Apply row-level security, adhere to data governance protocols, and ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile.
- Strong command of DAX, M language, and SQL.
- Experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and visualization best practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including Synapse Analytics and Data Factory.
- Knowledge of Power Platform tools like Power Apps and Power Automate is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5 years + of experience in Power BI development.
- Certifications in Power BI, Power Platform, or Azure are advantageous.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and version control for BI solutions.
- Understanding of machine learning integration and AI-enhanced analytics.
Relocation is available for this position.
