Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has partnered with a rapidly growing small to mid-size firm in the Midwest. The company is seeking an experienced IT Director to help standardize and optimize its IT function across the organization.
Position Summary
The IT Director will play a critical role in assessing the current state of IT, overhauling and documenting policies and procedures, and establishing best practices for technology provisioning, access rights, and audit compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on building a scalable, secure, and efficient IT environment that supports ongoing growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate the current IT environment and provide a comprehensive corporate overview
- Overhaul, document, and implement IT policies and procedures
- Standardize processes for provisioning new computers and access rights for new hires
- Assess and recommend software systems and technologies for company-wide standardization and audit compliance
- Develop and automate IT processes to support operational growth
- Support and enhance security protocols and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams on IT assessments and improvements
- Manage admin rights and ensure proper access controls
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including process documentation and system/vendor analysis and selection
- Proven success implementing IT policies and procedures in small to mid-size company environments
- Cybersecurity expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, MIS, Computer Science, or related field (preferred, not required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially with non-technical users
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Aptitude and knowledge of cryptocurrency (preferred)
- Experience with audit compliance and corporate standardization initiatives
