About The Role

The Recruiter I at Christus Health plays a vital role in attracting and selecting top talent for various professional, non-nursing positions within the organization. This role involves managing the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring activities to ensure the organization secures the most qualified candidates. The Recruiter I is responsible for maintaining compliant hiring practices aligned with federal, state, and local regulations, while also fostering positive relationships with hiring managers, community partners, and potential candidates. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to organizational growth by implementing effective recruitment strategies, enhancing candidate experience, and supporting the overall human resources objectives of Christus Health.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in human resources, recruitment, or related fields. Prior experience in high-volume recruiting is preferred, with a minimum of one year demonstrating the ability to manage multiple requisitions efficiently. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are essential. The candidate must maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (such as HR Logix), assessment tools, and recruitment marketing strategies will be advantageous. A proactive approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain effective communication with hiring supervisors, understanding their specific staffing needs and providing tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive recruitment strategies utilizing marketing tools, job postings, social media, and community outreach to attract a diverse pool of qualified applicants.
  • Coordinate all aspects of the hiring process, including prescreening candidates, administering assessments, scheduling interviews, and recommending incentives such as relocation or sign-on bonuses.
  • Partner with external recruitment agencies when necessary to fill hard-to-source positions, ensuring seamless collaboration and candidate flow.
  • Administer Targeted Selection (TS) interview techniques, providing training to hiring managers and serving as a TS interviewer when needed to ensure consistent, fair, and effective candidate evaluation.
  • Maintain and update applicant data and requisitions within HR Logix, ensuring accuracy and readiness for staffing meetings and reporting.
  • Represent Christus Health at community events, career fairs, and educational institutions to promote the organization and build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Prepare and present weekly recruitment activity reports, including metrics such as hires, open positions, and recruitment challenges.
  • Support team members in recruitment activities and serve as a backup for orientation sessions, ensuring continuity in onboarding processes.
  • Adhere to confidentiality standards, safeguarding all applicant and employee information in compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the department manager or director to support organizational objectives and operational needs.
