The Video Team Director will serve as the creative and operational leader for the video team within RED Creative Services, overseeing the entire live and in-engine video production pipelines.
Reporting to the VP of Global Marketing, the Video Team Director is responsible for leading and guiding all aspects of video & in-engine content creation for CD PROJEKT RED's global creative needs, ensuring the development of assets --and the video team itself-- are in alignment with CD PROJEKT RED’s overall strategic vision.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of video production processes, creative strategy, and technical workflows, and be an experienced leader capable of inspiring a team to deliver world-class content.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop creative video concepts for campaigns, working closely with the Art Director, Creative Director, and Brand Management to maintain high standards of visual quality, emotional storytelling, and effective communication of brand messaging. Guide the full production process, from concept to final delivery, ensuring creative consistency across all projects.
- Oversee the capture team responsible for both video and screenshot content, including supporting the creation of high-quality renders from in-engine assets using Unreal Engine 5 (and RED Engine as-needed). Ensure the capture workflows align with industry best practices and meet the high standards set for all CD PROJEKT RED projects.
- Foster healthy relationships across departments, including Marketing, RED Studio, and other internal teams, to support integrated campaign needs. Partner with the Video Production Lead to plan and execute projects, ensuring alignment between creative, production, and strategic goals.
- Oversee the production process of video and visual assets, ensuring strategic alignment and top-quality outcomes. Collaborate with the Production Area Lead and producers who manage day-to-day production, setting up effective team structures and successful pipelines in cooperation with these producer teams. Work closely with internal teams and external partners, providing clear direction and maintaining open communication.
- Build and support a high-performing video team, ensuring the appropriate skills, production pipelines, and headcount are in place to deliver high-quality video projects. Actively develop team members through mentorship, training, and fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
- Manage the budget for the video team, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting financial targets. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership regarding budget performance, resource allocation, and any potential risks.
- Champion creative innovation and the highest standards of quality for video production. Advocate for new tools, techniques, and workflows to continuously improve team productivity, creative output, and efficiency.

- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage creative projects from concept through to delivery.
- Ability to develop compelling creative concepts that align with brand strategy while optimizing production processes.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on building a collaborative team culture, fostering growth, and inspiring creativity.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 and experience with in-engine capture workflows for both video and stills. Understanding of 3D rendering, video editing, color correction, compositing, and motion graphics tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, and After Effects.
- Expertise in managing large-scale projects, resource allocation, and department budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Proven experience in setting up and optimizing video production pipelines, including establishing workflows, documentation, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work cross-functionally and maintain alignment across multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
