We are a fast-growing eCommerce brand creating innovative outdoor gear for international markets. Our team is remote, ambitious, and rapidly expanding. Weβre looking for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our marketing division, build a world-class creative and paid performance system, and scale our brand globally with measurable results.
Youβll work closely with the COO to synchronize marketing operations, ensure flawless campaign execution, and with HR to grow a strong, creative, and data-driven marketing team.
Role Overview
The CMO will be responsible for leading all marketing initiatives, from paid ads and email marketing to UGC, SEO, and influencer campaigns; While ensuring each action is data-backed, measurable, and aligned with company goals.
Your mission is to build and manage a performance-oriented marketing system that drives profitable growth and strengthens the brand image worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the brandβs overall marketing strategy across channels (Meta, Google, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest).
- Build quarterly performance targets (CAC, ROAS, MER, LTV) and lead the team toward them.
- Define the marketing budget, allocate spend, and ensure maximum return on investment.
- Create creative testing frameworks and media calendars in collaboration with the COO.
Team Management
- Lead and mentor the marketing team (Paid Ads, SEO, Email/SMS, Content Creators, and Designers).
- Build an internal creative production pipeline β from concept to ad delivery.
- Ensure all campaigns are delivered on time and meet creative & performance benchmarks.
- Collaborate with HR to recruit and onboard new marketing talents as the brand scales.
Creative Direction & UGC
- Oversee creative briefs, hooks, and scripts for video and image ads.
- Review and approve all UGC and paid creatives to maintain brand consistency.
- Manage partnerships with content creators, influencers, and agencies.
Performance Marketing & Analytics
- Own the media-buying strategy and testing roadmap across all platforms.
- Monitor CAC, ROAS, CTR, CPM, LTV, and ensure data accuracy via GA4 and attribution tools.
- Run weekly marketing reviews with the COO and CFO to align spend, creative testing, and product inventory.
Email & SEO Growth
- Oversee email/SMS campaigns and lifecycle flows (welcome, cart recovery, win-back).
- Ensure SEO strategy aligns with content and long-term organic growth.
- Collaborate with copywriters to produce engaging, conversion-optimized content.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with the COO on product launches, inventory forecasting, and campaign readiness.
- Work with HR to set performance KPIs for all marketing staff.
- Report weekly results to the COO and HR with clear actions, insights, and growth recommendations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in eCommerce marketing leadership, ideally in DTC brands.
- Proven success managing paid ads (Meta, Google, TikTok) and high-volume creative pipelines.
- Deep understanding of marketing analytics, attribution, and budget optimization.
- Experience managing a team of marketers, editors, and content creators.
- Strong creative sense + data-driven mindset (can merge storytelling with metrics).
- Excellent English communication; French is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, performance-focused environment.
