Job Description:
As a ServiceNow Solution Architect, you form part of the Digital System of Work (DSOW) team, building resilient and efficient digital ops through robust service management, data integrity, and operational data governance products. You will work closely with internal customers to understand their requirements, translate them into technical designs, and deliver robust solutions under the guidance of the Lead Enterprise Architect.
You will use your deep ServiceNow experience to design and implement the solutions that underpin our Digital systems of work. You will be joining a collaborative team dedicated to demonstrating the Now Platform to drive efficiency, automation, and exceptional user experiences across the enterprise.
Let Me Tell You About The Role
The ServiceNow Solution Architect is responsible for the detailed design and implementation of solutions that support our Digital System of Work (DSOW) capabilities.
This individual will translate business requirements into well-architected solutions on the ServiceNow platform, ensuring they align with the strategic vision and technical roadmap defined by the Lead Enterprise Architect. You will focus on delivering scalable, maintainable, and practical solutions for key modules like ITSM, IT Asset Management (SAM/HAM/ITAM), Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC), and Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM).
You will be a key technical figure who can bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring that individual solutions contribute positively to the overall health and strategy of the platform.
Your Accountabilities
- Architecture: You will develop detailed solution architectures, technical designs, and implementation plans that align with our enterprise roadmaps. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into robust and scalable solutions, ensuring they adhere to established architectural standards and guidelines. You will create proof-of-concepts to validate designs and mitigate the risks associated with complex implementations.
- Technology: As a technologist, you will have an eye for emerging technologies and standards and have a passion for learning. You will contribute to digital transformation initiatives from a solution perspective, facilitating the delivery of new capabilities. You will bring strong hands-on skills in key technologies and be able to assess and apply new platform features rapidly.
- Platform Governance: You will actively participate in the Technical Governance Board, ensuring that your solutions conform to defined standards for development, integrations, data, and security. You will be responsible for identifying and helping manage technical debt within your solutions to ensure long-term health and upgradeability.
- Safety and Compliance: The safety of our people and customers is our highest priority. You will advocate and help ensure our architectures, designs, and processes enhance operational safety culture and improve our digital security. You create an environment where people listen and speak openly about the good, the bad, and the ugly so that everyone can understand and learn.
- Team: You will act as a technical mentor for developers and administrators, guiding them to follow architectural standard processes during implementation. You will be a hands-on leader who not just designs but also helps build and solve complex solutions.
- Relationships: You will build strong relationships with product owners, business analysts, and developers. You will understand the detailed needs of the business and ensure the solutions you are developing are fit-for-purpose and deliver tangible value.
