Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior C and Database Developer to join a collaborative engineering team responsible for building and supporting mission-critical data delivery systems. These systems handle high-volume file transfers and tracking across modern protocols such as SFTP, FTP, and cloud storage environments. You will work across the full development life cycle—requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support—while collaborating with product managers, analysts, QA, and client support teams. This role is best suited for someone who thrives in a Linux environment, can work independently, and has strong problem-solving skills. Some on-call support during nights and weekends will be required as part of a team rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain a next-generation data delivery system built on C, Java, Oracle, AWS, and scripting languages.
- Enhance and support automation scripts written in Perl, Python, and shell scripting.
- Act as a subject matter expert for database and/or delivery infrastructure.
- Collaborate with architecture leadership on system design and technical specifications.
- Code, test, and deliver new features with a focus on quality and reliability.
- Provide production support for mission-critical file delivery systems.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Strong C development experience in Linux environments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle development (PL/SQL, SQL Loader, data access patterns).
- Proficiency in bash, Perl, and/or Python scripting.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, or similar).
- Exposure to file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, MFT) a plus.
- Experience with Java development in Linux environments a plus.
- Knowledge of Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, or REST services a plus.
- Familiarity with Kafka, Spring Batch, and modern data streaming tools a plus.
- Exposure to frontend frameworks (ReactJS, Angular) a plus.
