We are Spark, New Zealand's largest, multi-brand digital services company offering mobile, fixed network and IT services in addition to other adjacent services to millions of New Zealand consumers and businesses. Home to inspired, forward thinkers, Spark people are at the heart of our purpose to get stuck in to enable New Zealanders to unleash their own incredible potential using the amazing technology and digital experiences we deliver. Our progressive, straight up approach to technology is evolving every day and we have a thirst for fresh, creative energy to join us in sparking New Zealand's digital future.

We operate in an exciting and constantly evolving industry, where the pace of change brings new and unique challenges every day, so we operate using Agile ways of working to allow us to meet the fast-changing needs of our customers. This is your opportunity to shape Spark’s approach to sponsorships, deliver unforgettable experiences for our customers, and make your mark on one of New Zealand’s most iconic brands!

Ngā mahi o ia rā – Daily tasks:

In this hands-on, end-to-end role, you’ll not only shape brand and sponsorship strategy but also roll up your sleeves to execute it. Day-to-day you'll be:

  • Unlocking money-can’t-buy experiences for our customers - from Front Row to bespoke activations.
  • Working with music industry partners (labels, promoters) and device partners to deliver collaborations, competitions and experiences.
  • Collaborating with Spark’s social teams to amplify content and activations.
  • Developing and embedding a new sponsorship framework, setting a fresh benchmark across Spark.
  • Owning a sponsorship calendar, partner processes and reporting.
  • Leading end-to-end brand campaigns that bring Spark’s partnerships to life.
  • Establishing measurement tools to prove sponsorship impact and effectiveness.

Tō wheako - Your experience:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has senior experience in brand marketing.
  • Brings a creative, proactive mindset and a passion for fresh ideas.
  • Ideally has connections in the music industry – record labels and promotors.
  • Has worked closely with creative agencies to deliver large-scale brand campaigns.
  • Can confidently lead and deliver major brand projects end-to-end.
  • Has excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting at all levels.
  • Brings senior stakeholder management experience, navigating complex corporate environments and external partnerships with ease.
  • Has strong analytical skills, using data, research and insights to drive decision-making.
  • Is highly organised, with exceptional time management and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
  • Has great financial management skills and attention to detail.
  • Brings a collaborative mindset; a true team player who thrives in an agile environment.
  • Is able to thrive in a fast paced, high performing team.
  • Demonstrates resilience under pressure and has the ability to deliver to tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Has an innate passion for music, entertainment and brand craft, and a drive to set a new standard in sponsorships.
