Role Description

This is a remote role for a Social Media Manager – Volunteer Position located in Los Angeles, CA. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for creating, scheduling, and publishing weekly social media content to grow Frieden Foundation’s online presence and engage our community. This includes highlighting ongoing projects, humanitarian initiatives, and impactful stories about the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will work closely with the core team to ensure content aligns with the foundation’s mission and current campaigns. They will also monitor engagement metrics and contribute creative ideas to increase awareness and reach across platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.


Qualifications

  • Strong experience in social media management and content creation
  • Excellent skills in Canva for designing visually engaging and impactful posts
  • Strong written communication and storytelling abilities
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and consistency in posting
  • Ability to work independently and meet weekly deadlines
  • Passion for humanitarian work and social impact
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector is a plus
  • Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field is preferred
