Job Summary
The
Head of Marketing will lead the marketing and fan engagement strategy for LOVB Nebraska, overseeing all efforts to build awareness, drive ticket sales, and create unforgettable fan experiences. This leader will own the full fan journey—from lead generation to in-venue entertainment—ensuring LOVB Nebraska becomes a must-experience brand in the region’s sports and entertainment landscape.
They will play a key role in revenue growth by driving ticketing campaigns, merchandise promotion, and sponsorship activations, while ensuring every touchpoint—from digital to game day—reflects LOVB’s identity and values.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Growth
- Develop and execute marketing strategies to establish LOVB Nebraska as a premier sports brand in the region.
- Maintain a consistent, compelling brand voice across all channels.
- Drive storytelling efforts that highlight athletes, matches, and league initiatives.
- Strengthen ties between LOVB Pro, youth volleyball, and the wider community.
Revenue & Campaigns
- Lead integrated campaigns across ticketing, promotions, advertising, and partnerships.
- Use data insights to optimize sales, pricing, and fan conversion.
- Support grassroots outreach to expand and diversify the fan base.
Game Presentation & Fan Experience
- Lead all aspects of in-venue entertainment, including creative direction, run-of-show, and fan engagement touchpoints.
- Oversee player introductions, time-out activations, post-match celebrations, and sponsor integrations.
- Ensure experiences reflect the brand’s identity and meet revenue/activation goals.
Event Production & Special Events
- Manage production for matches, tentpole events, and VIP activations.
- Oversee pre- and post-event planning, production schedules, and continuous improvement of fan experiences.
- Partner with Content, Social, and Partnerships to integrate storytelling and sponsor activations.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build and lead a high-performing marketing team.
- Partner with internal functions (ticketing, partnerships, operations, production) and external agencies to execute campaigns.
- Serve as a visible leader within the organization and local market.
Education & Experience
- 10+ years in marketing with a proven track record in sports, live entertainment, or media.
- Deep experience in brand-building, audience growth, ticketing campaigns, and live-event marketing.
- Prior experience with a professional sports team or league strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus.

Location
This position is remotely based in Omaha, Nebraska with some travel involved. There is no relocation.
