Your Mission
As an
Associate Director of Campaign Process & Planning (Contractor), you will play a pivotal role in helping to shape and scale a brand-new team responsible for delivering operational excellence across Blizzard’s highest priority marketing campaigns. You’ll help define scalable workflows and surface quick wins that elevates Blizzard to execute bold, global campaigns with speed, clarity, and confidence, setting us up for long-term success across franchises, while driving continuous improvement at every step.
This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role, helping us architect the how of campaign delivery. You’ll map the end-to-end campaign process, define clear roles and responsibilities, implement leadership reporting structures, and help codify Blizzard’s campaign rhythm of business. This role is all about bringing structure and consistency to our work - ensuring every campaign kicks off with clarity, tracks to meaningful metrics, and lands with confidence.
Important context: CMOps launched in July, so we’re still in discovery mode - actively building our ways of working from the ground up. We need senior-level operational support to plug immediate gaps while we stand up the foundations for the future. This role is critical to ensuring momentum and structure during a pivotal ramp-up period.
Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
Process And Rhythm Of Business Clarity
- Map the campaign process end-to-end for P0s and P1s - including dependencies, sub-processes, handoffs, and decision gates
- Identify gaps, duplications, or inefficiencies in current ways of working and propose improvements
- Own the documentation and playbooks for our GTM process, with checklists and guidelines at each stage of the process
- Contribute to long-term planning by mapping requirements for future tools, team capabilities, or workflows
- Define and implement the marketing RoB (Rhythm of Business) aligned with other teams within Blizzard and external partners
Reporting
- Define and operationalize the campaign reporting rhythm - who inputs what, when, and how; who sets up the meetings
- Own the end-to-end process for reporting into senior executive forums
- Build and maintain decks, formats, and templates used across leadership touchpoints
- Document and standardize reporting workflows to ensure predictability and clarity
- Heavy consult/partnership with Strategy and Analytics to embed reporting rhythms, goal setting, prioritization and resourcing frameworks, and success metrics/KPIs into our processes
- Lead areas of special projects or cross-functional priorities as assigned by the Director
Efficiencies & Enablement
- Identify and recommend opportunities for AI-driven automation to reduce duplication of work and streamline processes
- Partner with our MCP Specialist to catalogue, audit, and assess all tools being used across Marketing and where we can streamline or save costs
- Own tooling renewals, review contracts and team requirements, and work closely with the Procurement team
- Partner with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve system access issues, ensuring teammates have the tools and permissions they need to work effectively
- Explore ways to support teams who are struggling with processes due to labor gaps
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements
- 10+ years experience in Campaign Operations, Business Operations/Analytics, Marketing Strategy or Program Management in games/tech/entertainment
- Proven experience in process architecture and operational design, including mapping workflows and R&Rs, and building campaign planning frameworks and documentation that scales
- Strong track record standing up reporting cadences and briefing workflows
- Bonus: experience implementing automation or AI to streamline operational workflows
- Ability to see both the zoomed-out system and the detailed to-dos
- Strong planning and execution orientation - proactive, structured, attention to detail, and follow-through focused
- Brings a problem-solving mindset, but is also comfortable doing the “admin” - sometimes the work is just about making it run smoothly
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments, shifting priorities, and balancing speed with structure
- Ability to quickly understand cross-functional needs and drive clarity through well-crafted operational frameworks
- Comfortable working independently, while syncing closely with the team
- Executive communication skills with strong ability to work well with leadership and to manage expectations
- Able to lead and influence across multiple levels and functions
- A good sounding board for others, with low ego
- Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent field
This is a contingent worker position and will be staffed through Volt, a staffing and workforce management company.

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $124,400.00 - $230,300.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
