The Role: Security Engineer (Volunteer)
As our Security Engineer, you will be the guardian of our digital ecosystem, ensuring that the systems powering our global impact remain resilient, secure, and trustworthy. You will design, implement, and maintain robust security measures that protect sensitive data, strengthen user confidence, and uphold the integrity of our mission-driven platform. This is a pro bono, nonpaying opportunity.
Conditions:
Location: Remote
Commitment: Part-time (volunteer, pro bono role)
Contribution Requirements: Minimum 10–15 hours per week; minimum 3 months
What Will You Do?
Who Are We Looking For?
Experienced Protectors: You have a strong background in cybersecurity, systems engineering, or network administration, with at least 5 years of relevant experience designing and managing secure systems.
Analytical Thinkers: You have an eye for detail and the ability to identify vulnerabilities before they become problems, applying both technical expertise and creative problem-solving.
Collaborative Innovators: You’re comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a global, multicultural environment, communicating security concepts clearly and compassionately.
Mission-Driven Guardians: You see cybersecurity not just as technology, but as a matter of trust — protecting people, their data, and the mission they believe in.
