GCP Cloud Engineer

A large retail client of Insight Global is looking for a GCP Cloud Engineer to join their team. This candidate will be supporting the internal development team that specific works within the date warehouse. They will be moving data to the GCP cloud while deploying, troubleshooting, and monitoring applications. We are looking for a Cloud Engineer to support cloud infrastructure and tooling in a GCP environment. This role is remote and ongoing, with a focus on deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting:
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot applications in GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
- Support tooling used by data pipeline teams
- Write code in Python or Go to support cloud services
- Provide overnight support and resolve issues independently
- Collaborate with offshore teams and other vendors
- Use AI tools effectively to solve problems and optimize workflows
Desired Skillset:
- Hands-on experience with GCP (preferred) or AWS
- Skills in deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting cloud applications
- Ability to write code in Python or Go
- Strong troubleshooting skills without needing team assistance
- Comfortable with overnight support
- Familiarity with enterprise data warehouse (EDW) environments
- Comfortable using AI tools for problem-solving
