This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Threat Detection Engineer (Cloud/Container) in EUROPE.
This role offers the opportunity to design and implement advanced threat detection solutions for cloud and containerized environments within a high-growth digital platform. You will build detection logic aligned with adversary techniques, create automated response workflows, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to expand telemetry coverage. Your work will directly strengthen the platform's security posture while mentoring less experienced team members. This position combines hands-on technical expertise, process improvement, and team leadership. Accountabilities
- Design and implement detection logic for cloud and container-based threats
- Develop automated response workflows and playbooks to streamline incident response
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance telemetry and monitoring coverage
- Participate in planning, retrospectives, and team ceremonies to drive continuous improvement
- Mentor junior engineers and share expertise across teams
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve security posture and operational efficiency
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in detection engineering or incident response
- Hands-on experience with AWS and container security technologies
- Strong scripting and automation skills, including Python and Go
- Familiarity with SIEM and XDR platforms
- Ability to work independently and manage complex projects
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
