Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Project Manager /Scrum Lead(Business Process Analyst) to join our India GCC – GCIO ETL Services -CAT IT Division

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager cum Business Analyst to lead cross-functional projects and drive business process improvements. This hybrid role requires strong project management skills along with the ability to analyze business needs, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions.

This role is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The role requires excellent leadership skills, attention to detail, and a strong ability to communicate with stakeholders at various levels.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN

What You Will Do

Job Roles and Responsibilities

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals, coordinating various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
  • Scope Management: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and supervise project teams and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Resource Allocation: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, assign tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel, and optimize resources to ensure project success.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including all administrative tasks and sites involved in the project, and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Risk Management: Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project expectations clearly to team members and stakeholders. Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.

What You Will Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) are highly desirable.
  • Overall 7+ years of experience in IT
  • Proven experience (typically 5+years) in project management, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with project management software (such as MS Project, Azure DevOps).
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Advanced certifications in project management
  • Experience in the relevant industry or sector (IT, Manufacturing)
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and process improvement.
  • Ability to work in global/multinational environments.
  • Experience in leading remote or distributed teams.

  • This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule in the office

  • Identifies key players, criticalities, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Investigates application-related issues with both business and IT professionals.
  • Recommends enhancements for a major application system or related subsystems.
  • Works with core application systems for a major business unit or function.

Information Capture: Knowledge of the methods, channels and processes to obtain needed information; ability to identify, capture and document relevant business information in an auditable, organized, understandable and easily retrievable manner.

  • Enhances the processes and procedures used in the organization's records retention program.
  • Uses detailed knowledge of records retention program to conduct training and/or meetings.
  • Ensures that all exceptions and unusual circumstances are properly captured and reviewed.
