As a Software Developer, you will be part of the Development Team responsible for creating embedded software for the maXYmos product family. You will play a key role in designing and implementing software that meets business and technical requirements, collaborating closely with internal and external development teams to ensure seamless integration of software and hardware components.
Main Responsibilities:
• Work as part of an agile software development team on embedded systems projects.
• Analyze requirements and develop software specifications.
• Design and implement software architecture and applications — primarily in C++ for backend systems and web-based technologies (React preferred) for the frontend.
• Actively contribute to software testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Improve system performance and robustness by minimizing technical debt and addressing bugs.
• Participate in software release management, including building and validating release candidates.
• Provide 3rd level support for customers when needed.
• Apply Kistler’s professional software development methodology.
• Support and mentor new team members in the use of technologies, tools, and methods.
• Take ownership of specific modules or components within projects.
• Ensure continuous system integration and deployment processes are maintained.
We are looking for someone with:
• 3–5 years of experience in object-oriented C++ development on large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in modern C++ standards (C++11, C++14, C++17, C++20, C++23) and familiarity with Boost or other major C++ libraries.
• Experience with web technologies for user interface development, preferably React.
• Experience with software deployment automation.
• Familiarity with tools such as Yocto, Jenkins CI, Docker, GitLab, and SonarQube.
• Strong background in software development under Linux.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design principles.
• Working knowledge of git and version control best practices.

Wage (gross): from 2 700 EUR/month. The salary in the job add is a minimal guaranteed base salary and can be higher - depending on the skills, level, education, professional experience, technological know-how.
