About the Role
A leading AI research initiative is seeking Chemistry PhD experts to contribute to a frontier project advancing scientific reasoning and problem-solving in artificial intelligence.
This initiative focuses on modeling how chemists think, analyze, and validate information across various subfields — from organic synthesis to physical and analytical chemistry. Your expertise will directly shape how next-generation AI systems learn and apply chemistry in real-world contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and assess complex problems across organic, inorganic, physical, analytical, and biochemical domains.
- Evaluate AI-generated chemistry outputs for scientific accuracy, reasoning depth, and domain relevance.
- Provide clear, structured feedback on problem-solving, mechanisms, and analytical procedures.
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and engineers to enhance model reasoning and reliability.
- Ensure academic rigor and scientific precision in all chemistry-related datasets and evaluation processes.
Ideal Qualifications
- PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field from a top-tier university.
- Undergraduate studies completed in the U.S., UK, Canada, or Europe preferred.
- Proven expertise across core chemistry subfields.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to scientific detail.
- Prior research, teaching, or publication experience is a plus.
Project Timeline
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: 1–2 months
- Commitment: Part-time (~20 hours/week, extendable up to 40 hours/week)
- Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous — flexible working hours
