Senior Infrastructure Engineer (platform) – Scaling AI + Human Healthcare | $160K–$225K + Equity | Fully Remote (US)
We’re partnering with a cutting-edge healthcare technology company at the intersection of AI and human expertise. The team is scaling fast, serving hundreds of thousands of patients through enterprise healthcare clients and they need a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own the architecture, reliability, and scalability of their core platform.
This is a high-impact role with end-to-end ownership, where you’ll help define the infrastructure roadmap and drive the evolution of a mission-critical, production-grade system. Expect autonomy, pace, and meaningful responsibility
What You’ll Do
- Scale infrastructure to meet high growth demands while maintaining 99.99% uptime and ultra-fast response times.
- Lead infrastructure investments balancing rapid delivery with long-term resilience.
- Build and optimise core data infrastructure – data ingestion, transformation, and warehouse systems integrated with healthcare networks.
- Enhance developer velocity through world-class tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and observability systems.
- Champion reliability, monitoring, and security aligned with healthcare-grade compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2).

- Optimizing Kubernetes clusters for performance and scalability.
- Leading migration of high-throughput queue workflows from SQS to Temporal.
- Re-engineering release workflows to streamline QA-tested code directly into production.
- Designing multi-tenant isolation and encryption strategies for sensitive client data.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure or platform engineering experience in high-growth environments.
- Proven track record of owning infrastructure design and operational decisions — not just supporting from the sidelines.
- Background in fast-scaling startups (not just enterprise or low-growth shops).
- Strong Kubernetes and Terraform fundamentals (AWS preferred; GCP acceptable).
- Proficient in Postgres, Node.js, Redis, SQL a plus.
- BS or MS in Computer Science from a top university — or equivalent standout experience at top-tier engineering organisations.
- Collaborative, low-ego, and mission-driven — thrives in high-ownership environments.
- Can clearly articulate complex technical decisions and their real-world impact.
