The Onboarding Assistant will support the U.S. Talent Acquisition team across all areas of recruitment. Specifically, helping to manage the onboarding cycle for new hires from the acceptance of the offer through the employees’ first day of employment. This individual will work closely with multiple recruiters and provide customized support for the talent acquisition process at Company.
The Onboarding Assistant will need to be collaborative; skilled in providing excellent support to candidates, recruiters and leaders; interact with staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure; remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Deliver excellent experience for candidates and business leaders throughout the entire recruitment process in alignment with our Company brand
• Provide ownership of the new hire onboarding and act as point of contact for newly hired employees to ensure successful completion of all required pre-employment requirements
• Monitor pre-employment screening for all finalist candidates
• Establish effective working relationships with key business partners including business leaders, HR business partners, compliance, legal, relocation and immigration
• Be the liaison to the Client New Employee Orientation program
• Manage and maintain the interview suites positively reflecting the Company brand
• Independently oversee the hiring process by monitoring candidate status within the applicant tracking system (Workday)
• Independently oversee the background check and screening process in Sterling/First Advantage.
• Proactively anticipate and identify opportunities for improving candidate onboarding process efficiencies
• Monitor the candidate expenses process and ensure compliance to travel guidelines
• Escalate trouble shooting investigations of talent acquisition processes to GTA Lead
Quals--
• Talent acquisition experience
• Previous experience in using an Applicant Tracking System
• Previous experience in the background screening process
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
• Experience in the I-9 Verification Process
• Strong customer-service orientation
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with all levels of the organization, achieve credibility, and can influence outcomes
• Demonstrated problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
• Ability to resolve, manage, and communicate complex issues to all levels
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision; understands when to escalate issues
