ComplianceQuest is seeking a Principal Product Manager will define, build, launch, and grow the next generation of QHSE software solutions for medical device, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, construction, chemicals, and other industries we serve. The individual is a high energy, passionate individual with experience in enterprise product management preferably with EQMS, SRM, SQM, PLM, and/or EHS software. In this role, you will be responsible for building cloud QHSE software solutions. You will work closely with a team of industry and technology A-players, who are bringing the next generation QHSE software products to market that are built on the Salesforce platform from initial concept definition to general release to the market. As a seasoned and experienced Principal Product Manager, you will help guide and support less experienced Product Managers as needed in their day-to-day work.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Be the product evangelist. Become the subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and external customers for assigned modules and features. Collaborate directly with customers to refine product intuition and distill that knowledge into problems to be solved and technical requirements for feature development while prioritizing what problem to solve in the right order to maximize impact for customers and ComplianceQuest.
- Be hands-on. Design, Prototype, Configure, and Master the Salesforce platform - validate solutions rapidly while building technical mastery and understanding of ComplianceQuest capabilities as well as the Salesforce platform.
- Be a storyteller. Conceptualize and design high quality specifications and communicate specific, actionable requirements to your engineering and software quality assurance teammates. Prepare requirements in PRDs / BRDs, epics, and user stories as required while following the SDLC and SCRUM methodology. Support Sales and Strategy to communicate capabilities to customers and prospects in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
- Be a leader. Look for opportunities to innovate, keep up with the latest software, regulatory, and industry trends distilling them into product requirements while educating your peers to ensure knowledge is shared openly.
- Be an owner. Cultivate the roadmap for your product(s), set the product vision, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and end customers. Enable other teams to understand and support your features so they are successfully adopted and used by customers. Customers should love what you build and deliver to the market
- Stay current with technological developments related to the Salesforce platform, and ComplianceQuest application, as well as management practices which include:
- Obtain and maintain Salesforce certifications (e.g. Admin, App Builder, Developer, Architect, AI, etc.)
- Stay informed of the latest Salesforce releases (release notes, Trailhead)
- Attend and reviewing assets from ComplianceQuest to maintain competency so that you can perform your job effectively (training, release notes, deep dives)
- Attend webinars, presentations, conferences, workshops, and meet with colleagues
- Stay current on assigned internal CQ training as assigned in the CQ-QMS
- Comply with all internal CQ Quality and Information Security requirements
- All other responsibilities / duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, related discipline, or equivalent work experience combined with an advanced degree (MSc or MBA).
- 5+ years of experience with software product management.
- 5+ years of experience with SCRUM.
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of UX, Designers, Engineers, QC, and Product Managers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Experience preparing business requirements and design documentation that developers and QC can use to translate business requirements into working software.
- Experience creating user flows and wireframes to build user interface mockups using design and prototyping tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, Axure, and Invision.
- Experience guiding junior Product Managers or Product Owners in their day-to-day activities to release enterprise grade software.
- Ability to use JIRA to create and manage epics, user stories, defects, and production issues.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
- Comfortable with ambiguity, taking ownership, and making decisions.
- Very strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable collaborating with customers.
- Works well as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
- Excited about developing new innovative cloud software solutions.
- Ability to occasionally travel up to 10%
