About the role:
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with GCP & AWS experience from Bulgaria for one of our technology partners. The role is focused on a core migration from GCP to AWS and shaping a reliable, scalable and cost-effective cloud environment. You’ll work closely with development teams while driving automation and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Be involved in the migration of applications, data, and infrastructure from GCP to AWS;
- Adapt and optimize existing architectures and workloads for AWS;
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code for consistent AWS provisioning;
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery;
- Manage containerized applications and orchestrate them with EKS;
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting while optimizing performance and costs;
- Apply cloud security best practices and ensure compliance;
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer in enterprise environments;
- Strong expertise with both GCP and AWS;
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred);
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline);
- Solid knowledge of containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, especially Amazon EKS);
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana);
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Go);
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases;
- Knowledge of networking, cloud security, and cost optimization;
- Ability to build internal tools for other engineers;
- Experience in data-related work (streaming, data lakes, or similar);
- English is mandatory.
Nice-to-have: AWS certifications, AWS migration tools, Serverless (Lambda), and/or development background in Java, Node.js, or similar.
