Motion & Graphic Design Intern (UI Animation & Product Visuals)

Stipend: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000/month | Duration: 6 Months

Surf is a fast-growing local commerce marketplace based in Malta, reimagining how people shop and sell within their communities. Our mobile-first platform empowers hyperlocal shopping through smart design and seamless tech.

We’re looking for a Motion & Graphic Design Intern who’s passionate about creating engaging visual experiences — someone who can bring our app and brand to life through motion, animation, and sharp visual storytelling.

• Design motion elements for app & web — onboarding animations, transitions, loaders, and micro-interactions.
• Create engaging visuals such as icons, illustrations, and banners that enhance the overall UI experience.
• Work hands-on with tools like Figma, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lottie to produce clean, efficient animations.
• Collaborate closely with developers and designers to ensure smooth implementation and consistent visual style.
• Contribute to and maintain Surf’s design system and visual language.
• Occasionally support marketing with motion/graphic assets for social and digital campaigns.

• 6 months – 1 year of experience in motion or graphic design, preferably with exposure to UI/UX or digital products.
• Strong skills in Figma, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop (Lottie experience is a plus).
• A portfolio that demonstrates solid visual design fundamentals and creative motion work.
• Understanding of visual hierarchy, animation principles, and user-centric storytelling.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills in a collaborative, remote environment.
