Job Title: Sr. DevOps Engineer – Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure, Terraform)
Location: Remote (U.S. EST overlap required)
Contract Duration: 6 months initial, strong extension potential through deployment & stabilization
Overview
A large-scale digital modernization program is underway to unify inventory, pricing, and e-commerce across multiple channels. We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to own cloud infrastructure outcomes for this program.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll design infrastructure as code, implement observability practices, and collaborate closely with product & engineering teams to support one of the company’s most strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure as Code: Build, manage, and scale environments using Terraform.
- Cloud Engineering: Provision and secure workloads across AWS and Azure.
- CI/CD: Develop and manage pipelines exclusively with Bitbucket Pipelines and Azure DevOps.
- Kubernetes: Design, deploy, and maintain clusters on EKS and AKS.
- Security: Lead secure infrastructure design and deployment, including exposure to SAML and network security principles.
- Observability: Design and implement monitoring/alerting with tools like Grafana or New Relic.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional engineering and product teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with architectural goals.
- Lifecycle Support: Contribute through rollout, go-live, and early maintenance phases.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure experience
- Advanced Terraform expertise
- Deep hands-on knowledge of AWS and Azure environments
- Strong experience with Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
- Proven ability to manage CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines and Azure DevOps
- Demonstrated background in secure infrastructure and network security
- Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, New Relic, etc.)
- Excellent communicator with the ability to operate autonomously and collaborate across distributed teams
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments
