About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Python Developer to join a market-leading financial services organization on a fully remote basis. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the lead Engineer to design, develop, and implement new platform functionalities, particularly focusing on automation middleware to improve usability and drive digital transformation. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial Python development experience, with a strong understanding of best practices and coding standards.
  • Experience working on business transaction projects such as pension, banking, accounting, payments, or back-office processing systems.
  • Proficiency with Python frameworks including Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
  • Solid knowledge of MySQL or similar relational database management systems.
  • Experience working within fast-paced financial services or accounting environments.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience integrating automation solutions into existing platforms is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and middleware solutions to automate business processes within the financial services domain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Implement and optimize APIs, ensuring seamless integration with existing platforms and systems.
  • Contribute to the development of new platform functionalities, focusing on automation and usability enhancements.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide technical guidance and support.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve solutions and processes.
