Job Description:
We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Godot Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in building games that reflect our mission: to create immersive, meaningful experiences without compromise. You’ll work closely with artists, designers, and other developers to craft gameplay systems, refine mechanics, and bring creative visions to life.
You will be the only Godot Dev on staff so you must be highly autonomous and capable in all aspects of development being the sole point of escalation for all game systems, mechanics, bugs, and troubleshooting. Our first project will be a turn-based RPG with 2D characters and 3D environments.
Job Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Develop, test, and maintain game features using the Godot Engine (GDScript, C#, or both).
- Collaborate with designers and artists to translate creative concepts into functional gameplay.
- Optimize performance for smooth gameplay across platforms.
- Debug and resolve technical issues efficiently while maintaining accountability.
- Write clean, modular, and reusable code.
- Contribute ideas to improve gameplay mechanics, systems, and player experience.
- Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with Godot engine updates, best practices, and emerging tools.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience developing projects in game engines (Godot Preferred) - portfolio required
- Strong proficiency in GDScript and/or C#.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and game development principles.
- Experience with 2D and 3D game development in Godot.
- Experience with version control systems (Git preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug effectively.
- Excellent collaboration skills in a remote team environment.
Salary: ₱20k – ₱25k monthly, based on experience and qualifications
