On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for a highly skilled Navigation System Engineer (PRS) to work in ESTEC, in the Netherlands.

What is expected from you:

Support ESA in engineering activities, associated with the development and updates of engineering tools, including but not limited to the following areas:

  • Support the procurement of End-to-end navigation system testing tools, including test user receiver for Galileo OS and PRS.
  • Digital signal processing and user algorithms, including simulation of environment impairments, use of RFCS and Software-Defined-Radios, etc.
  • Support for the planning of test campaigns, ensuring alignment with the System Integration and Verification Plan
  • Ensure proper application of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) within the project organisation.
  • Contribute to project reviews, milestones, and progress meetings.
  • Provide technical support to ESA studies and programmes related to navigation.
  • Conduct R&D activities in the navigation laboratory.

What you offer:

  • Master's degree / PhD in Telecommunication, Electrical engineering, or equivalent.
  • A very solid background and experience are required in several of the following fields:
  • Global navigation systems, for example, Galileo, GNSS signals, and the associated receiver technologies and standards.
  • laboratory activities and testing;
  • Galileo PRS receivers and tools;
  • System engineering and related tasks.
  • At least five years of technical experience in a field directly related to the position. In particular, you have:
  • knowledge and experience of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe);
  • Knowledge of team collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence, or similar).
  • Eligibility for security clearance from your national security administration.

Where:

You will be working within ESTEC, the European Space Agency’s offices in the Netherlands as a contractor for Telespazio Belgium. We don’t expect the employees to be on-site full time however you will still have to relocate to the Netherlands for this position.
