Job Summary
BP’s Technology & Innovation function is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our team! You will be working on cutting edge technology projects that are critical to delivering business value in the digital space. This role offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe and contribute towards transformative change within BP.
Responsibilities
- Develop software solutions using Java/Angular/JavaScript technologies.
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
- Work closely with UX designers and visual designers to ensure alignment between tech and design.
- Participate in all stages of development lifecycle including requirement gathering, solution design, implementation, testing and support.
- Collaborate with other developers, architects, and engineers to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain code quality by writing unit tests, integration tests, functional tests, and automated tests.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep abreast of new technology developments and apply them to improve products where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience developing web applications using Angular and JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation languages such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Proficient understanding of front end development principles, tools, and best practices.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem solving, communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 10%.
