About the Role


This is more than a finance role—it’s a strategic leadership opportunity at the heart of ASQ’s growth journey.


As Commercial Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind our financial strategy, commercial operations, and cross-functional collaboration. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll lead a talented team of 8 (3 direct and 5 indirect) across finance, sales & marketing, and business process, helping shape the future of a proudly local, multi-division business.

You’ll bring clarity to complexity, guide decision-making with data, and ensure our operations are not only financially sound but aligned with our values, compliance standards, and long-term goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support strategic growth
  • Oversee accounting operations, payroll, and cash flow management
  • Ensure compliance with WHSE policies, tax regulations, and audit requirements
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Identify and manage financial risks while maintaining strong internal controls
  • Collaborate across departments to drive integrated commercial outcomes
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement


About You

You’re not just a numbers person—you’re a strategic thinker and a collaborative leader. You bring:

  • 🎓 A degree in Business, Commerce, or Economics or a related field
  • âś… CPA or CA qualification (essential)
  • 📊 8–10 years’ experience in finance and management
  • 🏢 Experience across multi-brand, multi-unit environments
  • 🌏 Local experience within Australia in similar industries is strongly preferred
  • đź’ˇ Strong analytical, commercial, and strategic skills
  • 🤝 A passion for mentoring and team development
  • đźš— Willingness to travel to ASQ sites as needed
  • đź’» NetSuite experience (highly desirable)
