Job Details
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensure full compliance with FSMA, GFSI, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
- Lead food safety culture initiatives, audits, and training programs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPA for customer complaints.
- Manage product hold, disposition, and recall/traceability processes.
- Oversee quality lab operations, equipment calibration, and microbiological testing.
- Monitor pest control, sanitation, and environmental programs.
- Manage quality team schedules, performance, and training.
- Lead internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Analyze quality trends and report on Right First Time metrics.

Qualifications (Needed)
- B.S. degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years in the food industry with plant-based managerial experience.
- PCQI certification required; BRC experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, FSMA compliance.
- Experience in microbiological and analytical testing (moisture, color, physical attributes).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and SAP or similar systems.
- Proven leadership and training skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
