What You Will Do
- Lead Product Vision: Define and drive the roadmap for cutting-edge hardware products, with a focus on wearable and head-borne technologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, industrial design, human factors experts, and field teams to translate user needs into innovative product specifications.
- Market & User Research: Conduct market research and customer engagements to identify opportunities, interpret end-user feedback, and stay ahead of emerging trends.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle—from concept and prototyping to launch and post-market analysis—ensuring compliance with rigorous performance and ergonomic standards. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality hardware products.
- Roadmap Strategy: Develop agile product strategies that adapt quickly to new technological disciplines and evolving end-user requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary liaison among technical teams, design stakeholders, and external customers, clearly conveying progress, challenges, and improvements.
- Problem Solving: Anticipate, identify, and resolve hardware challenges, ensuring that products meet and exceed quality and ergonomic expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 8+ years in hardware product management, with significant experience in wearables, specifically head-borne wearables.
- Human Factors & Ergonomics: Proven experience working on physical products where ergonomics and human factors play a key role.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with emerging technological disciplines, capable of pivoting quickly in a dynamic environment.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with design teams, technical experts, and end-users in the field.
- Full Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrated track record of successfully managing hardware products through the full lifecycle—from ideation to market launch.
- Outside-the-Box Thinking: A creative problem-solver who can innovate and execute under pressure
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in working with MRO, manufacturing, or hardware deployment.
- Experience in high-growth tech companies, such as Uber, SpaceX, Tesla, Rivian, Amazon, Cruise.
- Prior experience working on helmet products or similar head-worn safety gear.
US Salary Range
$191,000—$253,000 USD
