About The Role
VetsEZ is seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Developer to join our team in supporting enterprise healthcare systems modernization efforts for the Department of Veterans Affairs. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining mission-critical web applications that facilitate large-scale data processing, reporting, and system integration across VA platforms, including Oracle Health systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in .NET development, demonstrate a strong understanding of secure coding practices, and work effectively within Agile teams. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects that directly improve healthcare services for veterans, utilizing modern development frameworks and cloud-ready solutions. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and capable of obtaining and maintaining a Public Trust clearance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development using .NET technologies, including ASP.NET, .NET Core, and C#
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and modern frameworks like Angular or React
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and interfacing with IRIS or Cach systems
- Proficiency in developing RESTful APIs and integrating with front-end frameworks
- Knowledge of web hosting, IIS configuration, and performance optimization
- Experience working within Agile or SAFe development environments using tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, or Jira
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, cybersecurity compliance, and accessibility standards
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET and .NET Core applications supporting internal tools, administrative portals, and data processing services
- Develop RESTful APIs and incorporate front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or jQuery into secure enterprise applications
- Interface with IRIS and SQL Server databases to support structured data exchanges and high-volume transaction processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system architects, database engineers, and UI/UX designers to deliver modernized solutions
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, code reviews, and release management
- Implement automated testing and deployment strategies utilizing CI/CD pipelines to ensure secure and reliable software releases
- Enhance and maintain a centralized portal for accessing DMM tools, video guides, application documentation, and VA resources
- Ensure all developed code complies with accessibility, performance, and VA cybersecurity standards
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation such as user guides, deployment instructions, and design specifications
- Support modernization efforts by extending legacy applications or migrating functionalities to cloud platforms
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support team objectives and project success
