Founding Graphic Designer @ Stealth Startup in United State

Remote 8 hours ago

About The Role:

Join us as a founding graphic designer and collaborate directly with our CEO (UPenn '25) and CMO (UPenn ’28) to shape the visual identity of our product and brand from the ground up. You’ll own logos, color systems, typography, and collaborate on the full suite of marketing and product visuals: from banners and social templates to pitch decks and UI polish. If you love turning a blank canvas into a cohesive brand system, this is your playground.

We’ve recently closed our friends-and-family pre-seed round at a $6.5M valuation and are going stealth before our marketing tsunami and big launch. Compensation is flexible and can include equity, salary, or a combination of both.

What You'll Do:

  • Define the brand system: Craft our logo suite, color palettes, typography scales, iconography, illustration style, and motion guidelines.
  • Create high-impact assets: Design banners, landing page visuals, paid/social ad creatives, email headers, one-pagers, and pitch-deck slides.
  • Ship product-ready visuals: Partner with engineering and product to refine UI elements, empty states, micro-illustrations, and component visuals that feel coherent and on-brand.
  • Own the file pipeline: Build and maintain a living brand style guide, export specs, and organized libraries (naming conventions, variants, responsive crops).
  • Test & iterate: Run quick experiments (A/B visuals, thumbnail tests), instrument feedback loops, and improve assets based on performance and user insights.
  • Collaborate & move fast: Work closely with marketing on campaigns, with product on feature launches, and with leadership on investor materials.

Tools You'll Use:

  • Design: Figma (components, libraries, auto-layout), Photoshop.
  • Motion/Video (as needed): After Effects, Premiere (or equivalents).
  • Workflow: FigJam/Notion/Google Drive; handoff to dev with clean exports and specs.

What You Bring:

  • Portfolio required demonstrating:

1) Strong logo and identity systems (primary/secondary marks, lockups, usage rules).

2) Command of color theory, type hierarchy, spacing, and layout.

3) Digital-first assets across web, mobile, and social.

  • Craft + speed: You can explore broadly, then converge and ship crisp deliverables on tight timelines.
  • Systems thinking: You design scalable libraries and guidelines others can use without you in the loop.
  • Ownership mindset: You sweat details, ask great questions, and push for clarity and excellence.

Nice to Have:

  • Motion graphics and micro-animations for web/app.
  • Light 3D/illustration chops (e.g., Blender/Lottie) or photo/video editing.
  • Familiarity with accessibility, export performance, and asset optimization.

What's Next:

If you’re excited about this opportunity, send us your resume and a portfolio link (non-negotiable). We’ll share more about our mission, vision, and product in detail before the interview, ensuring you have everything you need to make an informed decision. We’re sorry we can’t provide more info: we believe strongly in our process. We are looking for those risk-takers, the ones who don’t settle for anything other than perfect.

We’re looking for someone who’s ready to dive in, shape the product creatively, and contribute to the success of our growing startup. This is a remote position, so you can work from anywhere while helping us build something great.

All positions will be reviewed by both the CEO and CMO.

Don’t miss out.
