Our esteemed organization is seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Director of Technology to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological future of our engineering firm, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry. This role requires a deep understanding of JEDEC, PCIe, CXL, SPD, or equivalent technologies and will oversee the design, development, and implementation of innovative technological strategies and systems. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role within the engineering industry.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the design, development, and implementation of technology strategies and systems that align with the organization's strategic goals.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in PCIe, CXL, SPD, and other relevant technologies, and integrate them into our operations as appropriate.
- Provide technical leadership and direction across the organization, including mentoring and coaching team members.
- Collaborate with other department heads to identify and leverage technology solutions that support business objectives.
- Oversee the management of technological infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Lead the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree will be an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technology leadership role within the engineering industry.
- Proven experience with JEDEC, PCIe, CXL, SPD, or equivalent technologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, including the ability to lead teams in a complex, changing environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technology issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technology concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management practices.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current regulations and standards in the technology field.
