The Role
The Town of Port Hedland is seeking a technically skilled and solutions-driven Microsoft Specialist to join our team, reporting directly to the Principal IT Operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing, optimising, and enhancing the Town's Microsoft ecosystem, drive automation, continuous improvement, and provide expert-level support to internal teams to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT service delivery.
Central to this role is the ongoing integration and alignment of systems and applications within the Microsoft environment, management of identity and access governance controls, endpoint management, and refinement of automated workflows and technical standards. You will enforce governance frameworks, ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and champion innovation and operational excellence across all Microsoft platforms.
We're Looking For Someone With
- Significant expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, and Power Platform.
- Advanced skills in managing identity and access governance, endpoint security, and automation.
- A proactive mindset with excellent time management and problem-solving capabilities.
- A collaborative approach to working across teams and with external partners.

Work Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- Significant experience in an equivalent IT role (7+ years)
- Proven Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, PowerPlatform experience.
- Strong understanding of identity and access management (RBAC, PIM, CIEM)
- National Police Clearance
- Current 'C' class driver's license
- Rights to work in Australia
