This is an exciting new opportunity responsible for leading a broad set of Rockwell FactoryTalk automation systems engineering activities within a major Maryland based state-of-the-art large scale commercial biologics manufacturing facility in the midst of major capacity expansions and an increase of incoming biologics pipeline products. You will be charged with the following activities:
* Leading Rockwell FactoryTalk automation and Emerson DeltaV controls systems projects within a large scale commercial mammalian cell culture biologics manufacturing plant.
* Serving as a SME for FactoryTalk PLC automation systems as well as Emerson DeltaV DCS systems.
* Serving as a Project manager for medium to large capital projects involving automation and control systems engineering activities for large scale and commercial BioPharmaceutical Manufacturing processes.
* Implementing and supporting site manufacturing automation systems through continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects.
* Troubleshooting, modifications, and improvements to automation, data management, storage systems, and networks related to process, utility, and equipment systems.
* Leading the resolution of technical issues, identification of root causes, corrective actions/preventative actions including equipment troubleshooting, software development lifecycle and computer systems validation.
* Training and mentoring junior level engineers.
Desired Skills & Experience
* BS or MS degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field. MBA a plus.
* 10+ years of BioPharma, BioPharmaceutical, Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry experience.
* Hands-on technical expertise working with Rockwell FactoryTalk PLC automation systems.
* Experience working with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems a plus.
* Experience working with OSI PI Historian systems including OPC Da, OPC UA preferred.
* Experience managing and preparing capital budgets.
* Expertise and knowledge of software development lifecycle and CSV (Computer Systems Validation) principles.
